Hi, I'm Aaron

This blog is mostly to give myself a presence on the web and a nice place to document ad-hoc projects.

I am a keen road cyclist and rower. When a mountain is nearby I tend to go mountain biking and hiking. When a sea is nearby I tend to go scuba diving.

I consider myself a geek; I like to understand how technology works from first principles and I enjoy experimenting with tech generally. I respect the scientific method and critical thinking.

I'm a software engineer by trade, with a bias towards systems development and systems architecture.
